The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be launching a newly designed passport
next Monday.
The passport has the word "Taiwan" printed in larger lettering and placed in
a more prominent position - with officials saying it's aim is to increase the
identifiability of Taiwanese nationals traveling overseas.
The new cover design was unveiled by Foreign Minister Joseph Wu on September
2.

And the government says it seeks to draw a clearer distinction

The foreign ministry says it has instructed Taiwan's embassies and
representative offices abroad to notify the International Air Transport
Association, airline companies and relevant government agencies in their host
countries of the changes to the passport design.

The new head of the British Office in Taipei has officially assumed his post.
According to the office's Facebook page, John Dennis arrived in Taipei in
December and has completed his quarantine and self health management period.
Writing on the Facebook, Dennis said he's "delighted and honored to be taking
up position as the British Representative in Taiwan."

Swedish teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg will appear on a postal
stamp in her native Sweden, to be issued today.
The stamp bears an illustration of Thunberg in her trademark
