President Tsai Ing-wen stepped down as party chairwoman after Saturday's elections. A permanent (常任) chairperson will be chosen at a later date. ---- E*Syria Exhumes Mass Grave More than 500 bodies have been recovered (重獲) from a large mass grave in Syria. The northern city of Raqqa was the Islamic State group's center of power. Attacks led by the US forced IS out of Raqqa more than a year ago, but workers are still finding mass graves in and around the city. This latest grave is the largest of nine found so far. It is believed to contain around 1,500 bodies of people killed by airstrikes, including both IS fighters and civilians. Workers want to save the bodies to identify victims and save evidence in case there are war crime trials in the future. ---- E*US Manafort Threatens Legal Action US President Donald Trump's former campaign manager says he's never met Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
