Section break ---- C*News Intro I'm ... w/ the top of the hour news ..... ---- E*EZ NEWS NOVEMBER 22, 2018 ---- E*Olympians Voice Opposition to Name Change Referendum Some of Taiwan Olympic athletes say they are against the referendum on competing in world sporting events as "Taiwan" instead of "Chinese Taipei". Lei Chien-ying, 2016 Rio Games women's archery bronze winner, says Taiwan could be excluded from Olympic events. Discus thrower Chang Ming-huang says Taiwan could also be suspended (暫停、中止) from all international sporting events. Supporters of the referendum claim Taiwan athletes will still be allowed to compete as "independent Olympians." ---- E*Heavy Traffic Expected on Election Day Officials say there will be heavy traffic this Saturday as people go home to cast their vote. The National Freeway Bureau says the volume of traffic will get up to 105-million vehicles per kilometer. That's 5-percent higher than on regular weekends. They say southbound travel will probably be the most congested (擁擠). ---- E*UK EU Brexit Deal Still Up in the Air UK Prime Minister Theresa May is still trying to work out a final Brexit deal. UK correspondent Olly Barratt says there are a number of unresolved issues. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- E*Mexico Detains Migrant Caravan Mexican officials detained Central American migrants traveling through Mexico to reach the United States. They say 213 migrants were taken to a center. Those that do not have proper documents could be taken back to their home countries. The detained migrants include 186 people from El Salvador, 16 from Guatemala, 10 Honduras and one Nicaraguan.
