I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened down 155-points this morning from Friday's close, at 10,970 on turnover of 4-billion N-T. ---- T*Snowfall on Yang-Ming Mountain Snow is falling on parts of Yang-Ming Mountain in Taipei The Central Weather Bureau says snow fell at 6am on the mountain, and the temperature was 0.3-degrees. Yang-Ming Mountain could see more snow today, in areas over 1-thousand meters high. The last time the snow fell in the area was at the end of January 2016. The CWB says the cold will last through early Wednesday, but another cold front will arrive this Saturday. ---- T*US Defense reiterates Taiwan policy The U-S Department of Defense has reiterated (重申) the country's Taiwan policy. The Pentagon took off, then reposted its new Nuclear Posture Review report from its website. It says it mistakenly labeled Taiwan as a part of China. A Pentagon spokesperson says it was "an error", and does not affect the U-S stance on the issue. US Defense officials also say the U-S policy on Taiwan remains (仍) based on the Taiwan Relations Act, the three joint US-China communiques, and the Six Assurances. ---- T*Gov workers marriage leave And .... Government contract workers now have the same number of paid wedding leave as civil servants. The new law is part of the government's effort to boost Taiwan's fertility rate (生育率). Contract workers can now claim 14 days of marriage leave with full pay. ---- US FBI memo release US officials have different opinions on the effect of the released House Intelligence memo. AP correspondent Shelley Adler reports. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- France Turkey leaders discuss Syria French officials say President Emmanuel Macron has spoken with Turksh President Recep Taiyyip Erdogan about Syria. are talking about working on a ``diplomatic road map'' for Syria in the ``coming weeks.'' France's presidential office says the two presidents spoke by telephone Saturday. They want to work on a "diplomatic road map" for Syria, adn talked about the security, political and humanitarian situations in Syria. France says both leaders want to see a political solution guided by the United Nations. They say there will be more talks between the two sides on the issue in the coming weeks. ---- Ecuador referendum and... Ecuadoreans have voted overwhelmingly (壓倒性) to limit presidents to two terms in a nationwide referendum. Former President Rafael Correa got rid of the term limits from the constitution in 2015.
