I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened up 35-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 11,139 on turnover of 2.5-billion N-T. ---- T*NTU upholds Guan selection National Taiwan University's selection committee is upholding its choice of Guan Chong-min as president of the university. Guan's election has run into questions of alleged plagiarism (抄襲) and conflict of interest. The committee says they are now waiting for the Ministry of Education to confirm Guan's appointment. But they do not know if Guan will begin his term as president today. ---- T*Snow again on Jade Mountain Snow is falling again on Jade Mountain. The Central Weather Bureau says over 7-centimeters were reported on some areas of the mountain as of 8:30 this morning. THe bureau says the lowest temperature in low areas was 9.3-degrees in Hsinchu. The strongest cold front of this winter will arrive on Saturday. Temperatures are likely to fall to 8-degrees in Taipei. Snow is also being forecast for Yangmingshan in Taipei this weekend. The cold will probably last until next Tuesday. ---- T*Tainan preps for Orchid Show And .... Tainan is preparing for the 2018 Taiwan International Orchid Show, which starts next month. The show will be held at Tainan Orchid Plantation park from March 3rd to 12th. Organizers say tickets are now available (可得到). The Tainan City government says this year's theme is "where friends meet and orchids blossom". The show will have landscaping, an orchid bazaar (市場) and a area to showcase orchid innovation (革新). ---- US sports investigation Reports say the United States Justice Department has issued subpoenas in an investigation of international sports corruption. US Correspondent Rachel Silverman has more. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- Tunisia France visit French President Emmanuel Macron is on a two-day visit to Tunisia. The president is traveling with a group of business and cultural leaders. It's his first state visit since becoming president in May last year. On his first day in Tunisia, Macron announced a $50-million euro fund for young entrepreneurs.
