I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened up 33-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,834 on turnover of 2.2-billion N-T. ---- T*TRA crane collpase causes delays A crane collapsed near Houli train station this morning. The crane was being used for renovation work at the station when it overturned (翻倒、傾覆). It blocked parts of the track between Sanyi and Fengyuan. Workers moved the crane off the tracks at around 5:15am and checked the tracks. Full service restarted at about 8:15am. ---- T*CEC to supervise amended Referendum Act The new Referendum Act will take effect (生效) tomorrow. The Central Election Commission will supervise how the law is applied. Commission Chairman Chen Ying-qian says his office will make sure the new law is used in a fair, open, and transparent (透明) way that protects rights. Chen says new rules include letting people start a referendum online, and new regulatiosn for referendum debates. ---- T*Strongest cold front next Monday And .... The strongest cold front so far this winter will hit Taiwan next Monday. The Central Weather Bureau says temperatures in the north could get as low as 10-degrees. The weather bureau says the cold front is expected to be strongest next Wednesday and Thursday. They say temperatures in the north and center will drop to (下降到) between 10 and 11-degrees. ---- US Manafort sues Mueller Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has sued the U.S. Justice Department and special counsel Robert Mueller. Our U.S. correspondent Priscilla Huff reports: < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- Mexico archeological discovery Mexican archaeologists say they have found a stone sanctuary in a pond on the side of a volcano east of Mexico City. They say it might have been built as a small model of the universe. The National Institute of Anthropology and History says the the stone ``tetza-cual-co'' were in the center of a natural pond below the volcano at an elevation of almost 13-thousand feet.
