I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened down 43-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,607 on turnover of 2.4-billion N-T. ---- T*DPP rams labor amendments through LY review The DPP has pushed several changes to labor laws through a legislative committee review. The KMT and NPP are accusing the DPP of not following proper procedures. The changes to the Labor Standards Act will now be looked at by all parties. This could last up to a month, before the amendments can be voted on by the full legislature. The DPP says it wants the new work laws to take effect (生效) early next year. ---- T*National security amendments passed A legislative committee has passed changes to the National Security Act. The law will let prosecutors indict people who could be spying for China on foreign aggression (侵略) charges. It will also give prosecutors more power to charge individuals and groups with treason. ---- T*First snowfall forecast on HeHuan Jade mountains this Friday And .... Officials say the first snowfall on HeHuan Mountain this winter could happen by Friday. The Central Weather Bureau says two cold air masses (冷氣團) this week could make snow fall on the mountain. And snow could fall on Jade Mountain as well. The bureau says the cold fronts will make the entire island cold and rainy into the weekend. ---- No Brexit breakthrough UK Prime Minister Theresa May is leaving Brussels without a Brexit breakthrough (突破). Our Europe Correspondent Kevin Ozebek explains < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- UN NKorea visit The North Korean government has invited a U-N official to visit. Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman will arrive in Pyongyang today to meet with the north's foreign minister, vice minister, diplomats and U-N staff. Officials say they will talk about policy issues "of mutual interest and concern". ---- Eurozone picks new leader Portuguese Finance Minister Mario Centeno is the next president of the 19-country eurozone. Centeno won after two rounds of voting. He will officially succeed (繼承) "Yeh-roon Dajel-bloom" on Jan. 13th.
