I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened less than 1-point lower this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,839 on turnover of 2.2-billion N-T. ---- T*MND on missing Mirage pilot The Ministry of National Defense will give details about a missing fighter jet pilot. The Air Force Mirage-2000 fighter jet went missing in waters about 90-nautical miles north-northeast of Keelung. The jet from the Hsinchu-based 499-th Tactical Fighter Wing, disappeared from radar during a regular training exercise and lost contact with the control tower at 6:43PM. Aircraft and ships are searching the area and rescue operations are on-going (正在進行). ---- T*Police investigate Taipei shooting A shooting in Taipei this morning left three people hurt. Police say the shooting happened at an all-night restaurant on Jin-Zhou Street in Zhong-shan District. The store owner was shot in the abdomen and taken to hospital for medical care. Two other people are being treated (治療) for gun shot wounds to the back and face. Police believe the shooting happened because of a disagreement between the restaurant owner and one of his neighbors. ---- T*E-sports granted official status And ... Lawmakers have given e-sports an official sporting category. This means e-sports can now get subsidies (補貼) from both central and local governments. Lawmakers say this also allows individuals or groups who sponsor or help develop sports get subsidies and tax deductions. They hope this will boost (促進) the development of local sports. ---- US Texas shooter Texas gunman Devin Patrick Kelley, who killed 26 churchgoers, escaped from a mental health facility in 2012. Our U.S. corrrespondent Priscilla Huff has an update: < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- Map America auction and... Christie's auction house is set to sell a newly discovered copy of a 510-year-old map that has been called "America's birth certificate". The two-dimensional globe created in 15-07 by pioneering German cartographer Martin Waldseemueller is reportedly (據說) ``the earliest piece of writing that uses the word America.'' The map is the oldest-known printed globe, and is also the first map to show North and South America as separate continents and shows a distinct Pacific Ocean, which no European had then seen.
