I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T* Tai-Ex The Tai-Ex opened down 1-point this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,418 on turnover of 3.8-billion N-T. ---- T*AIT Chairman on US vessel port calls Chairman James Moriarty from the American Institute in Taiwan doubts that U.S naval vessels could start making port calls here in Taiwan. In June, the Senate Armed Services Committee says it will start letting U-S naval ships enter ports in Taiwan. Moriarity believes that such port calls can be dangerous . The U-S Seventh Fleet made regular port calls in Taiwan between the 1950s and 1970s. ---- T*National Women's League financial disclosure deadline The National Women's League has missed the deadline for showing how it used $340-billion NT in donations. The Ill-gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee ordered (指令) the league to explain what happened to the money. The league is being investigated for how it handled money between 1955 and 1989. ---- T*Thai police investigate ROC suicide Police in Thailand are looking into the death of an ROC national in Chonburi province. They say the man was found dead in an apartment (公寓) on Tuesday. Taiwan officials say the man is a 47-year-old with the last name Hsu. They say they are helping the man's family travel to Thailand. Thai media says the man may have killed himself, and has left a suicide note. ---- Trump heading to France U.S. President Donald Trump is travelling to France and meetings with President Emmanuel Macron. Our U.S. correspondent Priscilla Huff has a preview: < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- China jailed Nobel laureate Chinese officials say an imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize laureate is in poor condition. They say Liu Xiaobo now has multiple organ failure. Liu's family has reportedly decided not to use a breathing tube to keep him alive. Supporters and foreign governments are calling for China's government to free Liu. Two American and German doctors reported that Liu wants to travel to the West, and his body could handle (應付) the trip. But they said the trip would have to happen soon. However, Beijing said that Liu is too sick to travel and is already getting the best care. ---- Italy forest fires Hundreds of tourists had to be evacuated from a beach resort in Sicily, Italy after a fire broke out. Officials say the fires were probably started on purpose. Other wildfires were also burning on the Amalfi coast, Mt.
