I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened up 23-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,313 on turnover of 1.7-billion N-T. ---- T* President Tsai's judical reform plans President Tsai Ing-wen has talked about more of her plans for judicial reform (司法改革). Tsai says the reform proposal will focus on courtroom transparency (法庭透明度). It will allow civic participation (公民參與) in trials, improve the selection of judges and prosecutors and make judicial neutrality stronger (司法中立). Tsai said at a meeting of the committee for Judical Reform that it is important to make courts become more transparent. She also said that she had asked agencies to work on the implementation (履行) of the reform plans. According to Tsai, any judicial reform proposals must receive public support and the proposals must be written in language that is easy to understand. ---- T* oBike parking ban Bike-sharing platform oBike says it may ask the New Taipei Department of Transport to take down its recent ban (禁令) about parking bicycles in public parking spaces. The ban will affect 11 districts in the New Taipei city that are highly-populated. The New Department of Transport came up with the ban due to people's complaints. It says that the bicycles are often parked in spaces for motorcycles or parked in a way that makes it harder for pedestrians to walk. In April, oBike started renting out bicycles in Taiwan. Its policy lets users leave oBikes anywhere after use. However, the policy has caused about a thousand oBikes to be towed away (拖吊) from the 11 New Taipei districts. ---- T* 13-year-old genuis And .... A 13-year-old Taipei high school student has become the youngest and the first Taiwan-educated junior high student to get into New York University. Chiang Jing-liang was a student at the Taipei Municipal Ming Sheng High School. Chiang thanked N-Y-U for accepting him despite his young age. He also said that others can realize their dreams as long as they don't give up. Chiang started to learn piano at the age of 6 and violin at 7. He was also certified by U-K-based Mensa International with an IQ of 160 at the age of 8. ---- US missiles to Baltics The USA has moved long-range anti-aircraft missiles (導彈) to The Baltics for the first time. US correspondent, Frances Read, reports. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- UN draft sanctions on NKorea The United States has made a draft resolution (決議案) of sanctions on North Korea. The resolution is a response to North Korea's first testing of its intercontinental (洲際) ballistic missile (彈道飛彈). The draft has been given to other members of the U-N Security Council, China, Russia, Britain and France. U.S Ambassador (大使) Nikki Haley said that the U.S military is ready to defend the country and its allies against North Korea's ICBM. Haley also said if the Security Council is united, the international community will be able to stop hard currency (硬通貨) from going into North Korea, increase air and maritime (海上的) restrictions (限制), and limit North Korea's use of oil for its military. ---- 10AM Easy EZ News Outro That's it for Easy EZ News today.
