I'm ______ and it's time for Easy EZ News on ICRT. ---- T* Tai-Ex update The Tai-Ex opened down 18-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 10,396 on turnover ( 營業額) of 2.1-billion N-T. ---- T* Cabinet approves Infrastructure budget The Cabinet (內閣) has approved a budget of more than 100-billion N-T for the "forward-looking infrastructure (基礎設施)" plan. Phase-one of the plan will get a budget of 108.9 billion N-T. This part of plan will start from September this year through December of 2018. The government says the infrastructure plan will raise Taiwan's GDP growth by 0.1. ---- T* Closing of Embassies between Taiwan and Panama Respective embassies (使館) in Taiwan and Panama will officially close today. The ministry of foreign affairs says diplomatic (外交) relations and agreements between the two sides will be stopped. However, a free trade agreement will stay in place until the two sides make some changes. Panama is interested in setting up commercial (貿易) offices in each other's territory. Taipei authorities are still thinking about the idea. ---- T* Taiwan work permit waiver And .... Starting this month, it will be easier for foreign workers in Taiwan to re-apply for a work permit. Now they will not have to hand in diplomas (文憑) or other qualification (資格) certificates (證書). This applies to people who are applying for the same kind of a job with a different company, or going back to a job within that same company. Officials say this changer will help nearly 7,000 people. The Ministry of Labor hopes this change will make foreign professionals more interested in coming to Taiwan. ---- US Trump Jr. Russian emails In international news..... Lawmakers are split on the impact of the Donald Trump Junior emails. AP Washington Correspondent Sagar Meghani reports from the White House. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- Brazil passes labor reforms In Brazil.... The Senate (參議院) passed an overhaul (翻修) of Brazil's labor laws Tuesday night. President Michel Temer says this change will help improve the country's economy. The labor changes will allow deals negotiated between employers to override (覆蓋) the current labor law. The bill would also make it easier to hire temporary workers, even for long periods of time. ---- Saudi women sports and finally.... Saudia Arabia said Tuesday that it will let girls in public schools take physical education classes. The Education Ministry said it will introduce the classes ``gradually'' and ``in accordance (按照) with Islamic regulations.''
