Section break ---- News Intro I'm ... w/ the top of the hour news ..... ---- T*Taiex update The Tai-Ex opened down 2-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 11,095 on turnover of 2.5-billion N-T. ---- T*President on transitional justice for indigenous President Tsai Ing-wen says she believes transitional justice is slowly helping to free Taiwan's indigenous peoples from suppression (抑制). Tsai spoke at the opening ceremony for the Austronesian Forum in Taipei. She says her administration will keep working for more understanding between different ethnic groups. The Austronesian Forum brings together the heads of state and envoys from 13 countries and areas in Pacific region. ---- T*CPC raises price of LPG LNG C-P-C has raised the prices of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas products from today. The company says costs for importing the fuels are higher. The price of L-P-G for household use will increase by 1.8 N-T per kilogram. L-P-G for bi-fuel cars will rise by 1 N-T per kilogram. Industrial-grade propane, butane, and propane-butane mixture will also increase by 1.8 N-T per kilogram. ---- T*Taiwan Culinary Exhibition opens this month And .... Organizers say this year's Taiwan Culinary Exhibition will include talks from well-known food suppliers, including a Michelin Guide three-star winner from Taipei. The Taiwan Visitors Association says chefs from Le Palais Cantonese restaurant will share the secrets of gourmet food (美食). Le Palais is the only local three-star restaurant in the Michelin Guide published in March. The expo is on from August 10th thorugh 13th at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. More than 160-thousand visitors are expected to go. ---- Trump Russia US President Donald Trump wants his Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the Russia investigation In Washington here's Kevin McAleese. < [CLIP] Slug: > ---- Congo Ebola new cases At least four new cases of the Ebola virus have emerged in Congo's northeast. This is just a week after an outbreak in the northwest was declared over. The country's health ministry says it doesn't look like the two outbreaks (暴發) are related.
